About Me

Well, My name is Cameron, I’m sure you know that if you’re on this site. I’m awful at talking about myself But since this site is about me and my work. I will give it a shot.

As early as I could remember I have some interest in writing. The first story I  co-wrote was with my mom. It was 6th grade I believe and we were tasked with writing a short story. Since I am dyslexic my mom hand wrote the story for me as I talked. I remember the Title, Expedition to Planet X! A sci-fi story about a small group landing on Mars. Why mars? I have no idea. I think they ended up off course. But who knows now, the pages are lost to the sands of time. The other major thing that I remember clearly was the kids in my class enjoyed it a lot and wanted more. It is one of the earliest memories I have of feeling proud about my creative works.

The next memory of writing would be when I wrote a screenplay when I was 12 or 13 years old. Growing up in Southern California, movies were a big part of my life. So I entered a screenplay contest and was picked to be 1 of the 6 kids chosen to be a finalist. we all got to meet Christopher Lloyd and a few producers from the movie.

After that, I got into PCs and video games pretty heavily for the rest of high school and I still love them to this day. It’s a never-ending battle to write instead of playing Diablo 2 or any other game I own.

Writing has been something I have done off and on throughout the years. After the death of my mom, I decided to give writing more time. I started a small writing group with J.W. J an amazing writer with endless talent. We then got a hold of a few old co-workers from a job we both had at a toy store. Now we get together every week and we do Nano each year together as a group to see who is the fastest and the most prolific. It changes year to year on that but it’s a ton of fun.

Anyways I’m not sure how to end this or what more to say. I just hope you enjoy what I have written and know that I thank you for reading my work. It means a lot to me.
